Hoary Alyssum

Common name: Hoary Alyssum

Scientific name: Berteroa incana

Dimensions:
  Flower: About 1/8" (3 mm) wide
  Plant height: 1-2' (30-60 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Roadsides, fields, weedy places

Description: Tiny white flowers on racemes on stiff, erect stems; 4 deeply cleft petals. Plant usually branched. Stem and leaves covered with a grayish down. Leaves at base and on stem narrowly oval (oblanceolate), ¾-2" (2-5 cm) long, toothless. Native of Europe. Mustard family. (July 23)
