Bog Aster

Common name: Bog Aster

Scientific name: Aster nemoralus

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1-1½" (2.5-4 cm) wide
    Plant height: 6-24" (15-60 cm)

Blooming period: August-September

Habitat: Bogs and shores

Description: 13-27 light violet-purple rays
on panicles. Leaves very numerous, 1/2-
2 ½" long, pointed, toothless, minutely
roughened margins tapering to stalk-less
base. Aster family. (August 23)
