Common name: Boneset (Throughwort)

Scientific name: Eupatorium perfoliatum

Dimensions:
    Flower: Head to 1/4" (6 mm) long
    Plant height: 2-4' (60-120 cm)

Blooming period: July-October

Habitat: Moist or wet low ground; thickets, swamps

Description: Dense, flat-topped clusters of many grayish-white, ray-less flower heads. Distinctive for its pierced leaves 3-8" (7.5-20 cm) long, lanceolate, opposite, sessile, wrinkled, toothed, united around the stem (perfoliate). A hairy plant. Aster family. (August 26)
