Common name: Bowman's Root (Indian Physic)

Scientific name: Porteranthus trifoliatus

Dimensions:
    Flower: About 1½" (4 cm) wide
    Plant height: 2-3' (60-90 cm)

Blooming period: May-July

Habitat: Rich woods

Description: White or pinkish flowers with long, narrow petals; 5 each sepals and petals; 5 pistils; numerous stamens. The almost stalk- less leaves divided into 3 leaflets, 2-4" (5-10 cm) long, toothed. Leaflets may be slightly unequal in length. Rose family. (July 5)
