Scientific name: Linaria vulgaris

Dimensions:
    Flower: 3/4-1" (2-2.5 cm) long
    Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: June-August

Habitat: Dry to moist woods, dry fields, poor soil, and disturbed areas

Description: Pale yellow flowers in terminal, dense clusters on leafy stems. Flowers with upper and lower lips: 2-lobed upper corolla lip; 3-lobed lower corolla lip with orange ridges and a long spur at the base. Upper and lower lips closed together. Five sepals; 4 stamens; 1 pistil. Leaves 1-2½" (2.5-6.5 cm) long; upper leaves alternate, linear, grass-like, numerous. Figwort family. (August 14)
