Common name: Canadian Dwarf Cinquefoil

Scientific name: Potentilla canadensis

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/2-5/8" (13-16 mm) wide
    Plant height: 2-6" (5-15 cm)

Blooming period: April-June

Habitat: Dry open soil, open woods

Description: Solitary flowers rise on long stalks from axils of palmately compound leaves with five leaflets. Leaflets 1/2-2" (1.5-5 cm) long. Similar to Common Cinquefoil except toothed leaflets are more rounded, without teeth below the middle. Stems are densely silver-hairy. Rose family. (June 5)
