Scentless Chamomile

Common name: Scentless Chamomile

Scientific name: Matricaria maritima

Dimensions:
  Flower: 1-1 1/4" (2.5-3 cm) wide
  Plant height: 6-18" (15-45 cm)(often partly prostrate)

Blooming period: July-September

Habitat: Weedy places, roadsides

Description: Several or numerous daisy-like white flowers with 12-25 rays; disk corollas 5-sided. Similar in appearance to Mayweed but flower head somewhat wider and plant is scentless. Leaf segments more threadlike, finely divided into very narrow segments, with the ultimate segments mostly elongate, linear, or threadlike. A native of Europe. Aster family. (September 23)
