Common name: Silvery Cinquefoil

Scientific name: Potentilla argentea

Dimensions:
  Flower: ¼-½" (6-15 mm) wide
  Plant height: 5-12" (12.5-30 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Dry soil, fields, weedy places

Description: Golden-yellow flowers clustered at ends of white-woolly branches. Flowers have 5 petals and sepals and numerous stamens and pistils. The 5 wedge-shaped leaflets of the palmately compound leaves are linear or narrowly oval with a few deep blunt, oak-like teeth; leaf edges rolled downward, silvery-woolly underneath. Rose family.
