Common name: Common Tansy

Scientific name: Tanacetum vulgare

Dimensions:
    Flower: 3/8-1/2" (10-15 mm) wide
    Plant height: 1-4' (30-120 cm)

Blooming period: July-September

Habitat: Field edges, roadsides, weedy anbd weedy places

Description: Broad, flat-topped clusters of bright yellow button-like flower heads; appear like the center button of a daisy without the characteristic white rays. Leaves strongly aromatic, 4-8" (10-20 cm) long, pinnately divided into fine, linear, toothed segments much like a fern. Aster family. (August 3)
