Scientific name: Barbarea vulgaris

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/4-3/8" (5-8 mm) wide
    Plant height: 1-2' (30-60 cm)

Blooming period: April-June

Habitat: Wet meadows, damp fields, brooksides and weedy places

Description: Elongated clusters of small, bright yellow flowers crowded on top of erect, leafy stems; 4 petals; 6 stamens. Basal leaves stalked, 2-5" (5-12.5 cm) long, with 1-4 pair of small, elliptic to ovate lateral lobes and a large, ovate to round terminal lobe; upper leaves lobed, clasping the stem. Mustard family.
