Golden Corydalis

Common name: Golden Corydalis

Scientific name: Corydalis aurea

Dimensions:
  Flower: 1/2" (12 mm) long
  Plant height: Prostrate or spreading 6-24" (15-60 cm) long

Blooming period: May-August

Habitat: Rocky or sandy soil, open woods

Description: Long-spurred golden yellow flowers in dense clusters (racemes); spur 1/3 the flower's length; sepals broadly oval; outer petal folded toward the tip into a wingless "keel". Upper leaves often surpass the clusters; leaves doubly dissected into threes. Fumitory family. (August 11)
