Common name: Dame's Rocket

Scientific name: Hesperis matronalis

Dimensions:
    Flower: 3/4" (2 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1-4' (30-120 cm)

Blooming period: April-August

Habitat: Roadsides, open woods, woodlands

Description: Branched terminal racemes of
fragrant purple, pink or white flowers; 4 petals, 4 hairy sepals, and 6 stamens with outer 2 shorter than inner 4. Leaves are 2-6" (5-15 cm) long. lanceolate and toothed. Upper leaves stalk-less or nearly stalk-less; lower leaves stalked. Mustard family (July 5)
