Common name: Spreading Dogbane

Scientific name: Apocynum cannabinum

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/4-3/8" (6-8 mm) wide
    Plant height: 1-4' (30-120 cm)

Blooming period: June-August

Habitat: Woodland borders, thickets, fields and roadsides

Description: Shrub-like plant with numerous, small,pale pink, bell-like fragrant flowers nodding from curved stalks; deep rose stripe inside flower. Leaves paired and ovate, smooth, blue-green, 2-4" (5-10 cm) long. Dogbane family. (July 12)
