Common name: Garden Lupine

Scientific name: Lupinus polyphyllus

Dimensions:
  Flower: 1/2-1" (1.5-2.5 cm) long
  Plant height: 2-4' (60-120 cm)

Blooming period: May-July

Habitat: Fields and roadsides

Description: Blue-violet (sometimes pink or
white) pea flowers in upright, elongated, terminal
clusters. Racemes 6-18" (15-45 cm) long.
Palmately compound leaves of 11 to 18 leaflets.
Originally escaped from cultivation. Pea
family. (June 6)
