Garlic Mustard

Common name: Garlic Mustard

Scientific name: Alliaria petiolata

Dimensions:
  Flower: ¼" (5 mm) wide
  Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: May-June

Habitat: Roadsides, woods, weedy places

Description: Small white flowers with four petals clustered at stem tips of this erect plant; 4 sepals; 6 stamens. Lower leaves kidney-shaped, upper leaves triangular; leaves 1-6" (2.5-15 cm) long, long-stalked, coarsely toothed. Leaves give off garlic odor when crushed. Native of Europe. Mustard family.
