Grape Hyacinth

Common name: Grape Hyacinth

Scientific name: Muscari botryoides

Dimensions:
  Flower: 1/8" (3 mm) wide
  Plant height: 4-8" (10-20 cm) when fully blooming

Blooming period: April-May

Habitat: Fields, roadsides, weedy places

Description: Deep blue, nodding ball-like flowers in tight clusters resembling bunches of tiny grapes. Leaves 6-8" (15-20 cm) high, fleshy, linear, with pale groove. Native of Europe, escaped from cultivation. Lily family. (June 5)
