Scientific name: Prunella vulgaris

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/2" (1.5 cm) long
    Plant height: 4-10" (10-25 cm)

Blooming period: May-September

Habitat: Fields, meadows, lawns, weedy ground, and roadsides

Description: Low or creeping plant with ovate,
slightly toothed or toothless leaves. Square stem with dense terminal spikes of purple-blue flowers each with hooded upper lip over three-lobed fringed, drooping lower lip. Mint family.
