Scientific name: Trifolium procumbens

Dimensions:
  Flower: 1/8-1/4" (6-12 mm) long
  Plant height: Usually prostrate 4-16" (10-40 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Fields, roadsides, weedy places

Description: Small, yellow pea flowers on spherical or cylindrical heads 1/3-1/2" (1-1.5 cm) long with 15 or more flowers on each head. Plants prostrate, many branched, hairy. Leaves compound with 3 leaflets, each 1/3-1/2" (1-1.5 cm) long; middle leaflet distinctly stalked and often notched. Pea family. (June 28)
