Scientific name: Trifolium aureum

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/4" (6 mm) long;
     head 1/2 -1" (1.5-2.5 cm) long
    Plant height: 6-16" (15-40 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Fields, roadsides, weedy places

Description: Small yellow pea flowers in clusters on short cylindrical heads on top of a hairy stem. Leaves are pinnately compound; 3 narrowly oval leaflets 1/2-3/4" (1.5-2 cm) long, stalk-less. Pea or bean family. (June 22)
