Labrador Tea

Common name: Labrador Tea

Scientific name: Ledum groenlandicum

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/3" (1 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: May-July

Habitat: Bogs, woodlands, and rocky alpine areas in White Mountains

Description: Many-flowered clusters of small, white flowers; 5 petals; 5-7 stamens. Leaves narrowly oval or elliptic, 3/4-2" (2-5 cm) long, leathery, rolled-in edges, densely white- or rusty-hairy underneath; fragrant when crushed. Heath family. (June 25)
