Common name: Meadowsweet

Scientific name: Spiraea alba (Spiraea latifolia)

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/4" (6 mm) wide
    Plant height: 2-6' (60-180 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Rocky soil, meadows, old fields, moist soil

Description: White or pale pink flowers in branching clusters; 5 sepals and petals; numerous stamens; 5 pistils. Leaves oblong or narrowly to broadly oval , toothed, 1¼-2 3/4" (4-7 cm) long. Stems reddish or brownish. Rose family. (July 18)
