Dimensions:
    Flower: 3/4-1" (2-2.5 cm) wide
    Plant height: 6-24" (15-60 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Damp slopes and alpine meadows of White Mountains

Description: One or more showy buttercup- like flowers on smoothish stems, each with 5 notched petals. Petals longer than sepals. Basal leaves are 2-4" (5-10 cm) wide, rounded and pinnately compound; usually several sets of smaller leaves along stalks of basal leaves; upper leaves smaller and less distinctly toothed. Considered a threatened plant in New Hampshire. Rose family. (July 16)
