Description: Yellow, often white, flowers in long, slender, open, simple or branched spike-like clusters (racemes) on erect stems. Flowers tinged with purple on the back; 5 united petals; 5 stamens with orange anthers and purplish "beards" on the stamens; button-
like buds. Leaves 1-5" (2.5-12.5 cm) long, variable, triangular to oblong or narrowly oval, coarsely toothed or toothless, stalkless (sessile). Naturalized from Europe, the flower's hairy filaments are likened to moth antennae, hence the plant's name. Figwort
