Common name: Narrow-leaved Mountain Mint

Scientific name: Pycnanthemum tenuifolium

Dimensions:
    Flower: About 1/8" (3 mm) wide
    Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: July-August

Habitat: Woodlands, thickets, meadows

Description: Dense heads of tiny white to pale purple flowers with dark purple spots; calyx hairy; pleasant mint odor. Leaves extremely narrow, 1-2" (2.5-5 cm) long, stalk-less with a smooth margin. Square plant stem. Mint family. (August 18)
