Common name: Orange Hawkweed
(Devil's Paintbrush)

Scientific name: Hieracium aurantiacum

Dimensions:
    Flower: 3/4" (2 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1 - 2 ' (30 - 60 cm)

Blooming period: June - August.

Habitat: Fields, clearings, hillsides and
roadsides.

Description: Slender, hairy, leafless stalks
topped by bright orange flowers with yellow
centers; each ray with 5 teeth. Leaves 2-5"
(5-12.5 cm) long in a basal rosette.
Composite family. (June 21)
