Common name: Oxeye Daisy

Scientific name: Leucanthemum vilgare

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1-2½" (2.5-6.5 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: June-August

Habitat: Meadows, roadsides, weedy places

Description: Solitary flower heads on each slender stem.; 15-30 white rays surround hundreds of small, yellow disk flowers. Dark green leaves are coarsely toothed or pinnately lobed; basal leaves spoon-shaped or narrowly oval, 1½-6" (4-15 cm) long; stem leaves oblong or narrowly oval to 3" (7.5 cm) long. Aster family. (July 15)
