Scientific name: Lychnis flos-cuculi

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/2-3/4" (1-2 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: May-July

Habitat: Moist fields, meadows, roadsides and weedy places

Description: Deep pink flowers with petals
divided into 4 narrow lobes in clusters at end of much-branched panicles. Deeply-cleft petals give a ragged appearance. Leaves are opposite, lanceolate; basal leaves 2-3" (5-7.5 cm) long, decreasing in size up the stem. Pink family. (June 20)
