Common name: Purple Flowering Raspberry

Scientific name: Rubus odoratus

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1"-2" (2.5-5 cm) wide
    Plant height: 3-6' (90-180 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Rocky woods, woodland borders and thickets

Description: Bright, fragrant rose-lavender
flowers in loose axial clusters. 5 petals and
many pistils and stamens. Leaves 4-10" (10-25 cm) wide with 3-5 lobes and maple-like, heart-shaped at the base. Branches covered with bristly hairs.
