Three-toothed Cinquefoil

Common name: Three-toothed Cinquefoil
(Mountain White Potentilla)

Scientific name: Potentilla tridentata

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/4-1/2" (8-15 mm) wide
    Plant height: 1-12" (2.5-30 cm)

Blooming period: June-August

Habitat: Rocky or sandy soil, especially higher elevations including White Mountain alpine and sub-alpine areas

Description: Branched clusters of white flowers each with 4-5 petals and numerous stamens. Evergreen leaves with 3 shiny leaflets, each having 3 rounded teeth at the tip. Plant spreads by underground stems. Rose family. (May 8)
