Scientific name: Linnaea borealis

Dimensions:
  Flower: 3/8-1/2" (1-1.5 cm) long
  Plant height: Creeper; flowering
branches 3-6" (7.5-15 cm)

Blooming period: June-August

Habitat: Cools moist woods and bogs

Description: Delicate, pinkish-white, fragrant, nodding, bell-shaped flowers in pairs on short, upright branches above trailing, hairy stems. A creeping evergreen plant with opposite, rounded, toothed leaves about ½" (1.5 cm) wide and ½-1" (1.5-2.5 cm) long low on flower stalks. Honeysuckle family. (June 12)
