Scientific name: Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum

Dimensions:
  Flower: 1/8"-1/4" (3-6 mm) wide
  Plant height: Aquatic: 4-10" (10-25 cm) above water

Blooming period: May-September

Habitat: Clear quiet water, springs, brooks

Description: An aquatic plant with clusters of small white 4-petaled flowers; petals twice as long as sepals. Compound fleshy leaves ¾-6" (2-15 cm) long with 3-9 blunt segments, egg- shaped to round, the terminal segment much larger and rounder than side segments. Plant stems submersed, partly floating or creeping on mud. Leaves have peppery taste. Native of Eurasia. Mustard family. (June 12)
