Common name: Wavy-leaved Aster

Scientific name: Aster undulatus

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/2-3/4" (1.5-2 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1-7' (30-210 cm)

Blooming period: August-September

Habitat: Moist thickets, woods and swamp edges

Description: Flower head with 8-15 light blue- violet rays at top of stiff and rough stalk spreading into branches and loose flower clusters. Leaves 2-6" (5-15 cm) long, with wavy or slightly toothed edges. Larger leaves at base clasp the stem. Upper leaves stalkless. (9-21-08)
