Wood Lily

Common name: Wood Lily.

Scientific name: Lilium philadelphicum

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1 ½ - 3" (4 - 7.5 cm) wide
    Plant height: 1 - 3 ' (30 - 90 cm)

Blooming period: June - August.

Habitat: Dry open woods; meadows; thickets.

Description: Brilliant orange to scarlet, upward
facing, spotted blossoms. Three petals and 3 petal-like sepals; leaves lance-shaped 1-4" (2.5 - 10 cm) long in whorls of 3-8. Lily family. (July 4)
