Common name: Yarrow

Scientific name: Achillea millefolium

Dimensions:
    Flower: About 1/4" (6 mm) wide
    Plant height: 1-3' (30-90 cm)

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Pastures, roadsides, and fields

Description: Small whitish flowers in tight, flat clusters; each flower with 4-6 rays that are 3-toothed, surrounding tiny disk flowers. Stem gray-green, usually hairy. Leaves fern-like, very finely dissected, 6" (15 cm) long, stalk-less, aromatic when crushed. Aster family. (July 20)
