Common name: Yellow Clintonia
(Blue Bead Lily)

Scientific name: Clintonia borealis

Dimensions:
    Flower: 3/4-1" (2-2.5 cm) wide
    Plant height: 6-15" (15-38 cm)

Blooming period: May-June

Habitat: Moist woods in acidic soil, and mountainous areas

Description: Clusters of 3-6 yellowish-green bell-like (nodding) flowers on a leafless stalk. Each flower has 3 petal-like sepals and 3 petals; 6 stamens. Two or 3 broad, shiny basal leaves, 5-8" (12.5-20 cm) long. Berries a deep blue. Lily family. (May 23)
